Tengrinews.kz - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva underwent a brain hemorrhage surgery to remove a hematoma, according to the G1 portal.

Lula da Silva was reportedly admitted to the hospital on the evening of December 9 for examination due to a headache. An MRI scan showed intracranial hemorrhage, which was the result of the accident that occurred on October 19. He was then transferred from the hospital's capital branch to Sao Paulo, where he underwent a brain hemorrhage surgery to drain the hematoma.

The operation is reported to have gone without complications. The Brazilian president is currently feeling well and is being monitored in the intensive care unit.

On October 19, Lula da Silva suffered a head injury at home. At the time, doctors said the injury did not pose a health risk to the president, but advised him not to travel long distances.
