Residents of Zhanaozen will start cleaning up the town, Tengrinews.kz reports. “We will start cleaning tomorrow. That’s enough. We will clean up all this mess,” Amanzhol Kabylov, Zhanaozen superintendant and head of Mangistau oblast Interior Department said on December 19. “Tazalyk is the company responsible for cleaning the town; it will be reporting on the activities every two hours tomorrow.” Amanzhol Kabylov assured that social and cultural facilities would restart operations today or tomorrow. All 22 schools will start functioning today. The town administration is currently located in a resort facility. Medical facilities are operating. The group on evaluation of the damage was created in Zhanaozen. The superintendant promised to react on complains of the residents on any threats. The guards will be assigned in such cases. 10 thousand people are currently ensuring order in Zhanaozen right now.
