Over 1,000 people are involved in restoration construction works in Zhanaozen, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official website of Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov. “115 people are involved in reconstruction of the town administration building. Dismantling of heating networks, power lines and damaged structures, as well as roof works were 85 percent completed by December 31. Assembly of heating systems, installation of windows and doors are 25 percent complete. 4 damaged police stations are 95 percent restored, 30 people are involved in the works. Restoration works in Tenge village are 100 percent complete. Restoration of 2 bank offices in Zhanaozen will start after January 5, 2012. Reconstruction of state facilities will start in January-February,” the message states. New companies are going to be opened by January 15, 2012. Employment agency will continue accepting applications until the end of January. Employment of fired workers is to be completed in January 2012. Meanwhile, local employment department has sent 85 people for restoration of Zhanaozen administration building. As of December 31, 180 people are registered for reconstruction of damaged facilities. Besides, Food Department of the Government Commission on Zhanaozen is working to prevent growth of food prices and ensure food deficiency. The residents are fully supplied with food. Prices for socially important food remain stable. According to member of the government commission and Vice-Minister of Agriculture Marat Tolibayev, there are 53 trade hubs that sell food on behalf of the state.
