Details were provided by the press service of the Bureau of National Statistics.

"The largest number of schoolchildren are enrolled in the Turkistan and Almaty regions, as well as in Almaty," the Bureau noted.

A total of 215,000 students graduated from the 11th grade

According to the Ministry of Education, more than 3.9 million Kazakhstani schoolchildren are completing the 2025–2026 academic year. The student population by grade is distributed as follows.

More than 389,000 children were enrolled in the first grade of Kazakhstan's schools. There were over 392,000 students in the second grade, while more than 404,000 students were recorded in the third grade. Approximately 391,000 students completed the fourth grade.

In middle school, the situation is as follows: over 373,000 children were in the fifth grade, more than 401,000 in the sixth, and approximately 386,000 teenagers in the seventh. More than 354,000 students attended eighth grade, while over 364,000 students graduated from the ninth grade.

Meanwhile, more than 232,000 senior students were enrolled in the tenth grade, and more than 215,000 graduates completed the eleventh grade..

As a reminder, the country previously approved the procedure for conducting final certification in the 2025/2026 academic year for grades 9 and 11. Specifically, for 9th-grade students, final exams will take place from May 29 to June 11, 2026. They will take four written exams in compulsory subjects.

State exams for 11th-grade graduates will take place from June 2 to 15, 2026. Students will take five exams, one of which will be conducted in an oral format.
