A new hotel, a peculiar collection of yurta homes, was built in the south of Norway, Express-K reports. The hotel named “Canvas” consists of seven “bed rooms” layered with yurta canvas. There is also a sauna yurta. The hotel is located on the lake shore in Telemark province. Yurtas were chosen for their mobility, because the hotel is built in a very remote location. The publication mentions that the hotel visitors are offered walks and bike tours of the nearby mountains, “followed by European-standard and conformable yet Asian-style nomadic dwelling.”
