CIS ufologists are studying the phenomenon of high abnormity of Semei, head of the international research union Kazakhstan-Kosmopoist Aivar Isteleuov told Tengrinews.kz. According to him, East-Kazakhstan oblast is the most abnormal area in Kazakhstan. High abnormity of this region is explained by its location near Semipalatinsk nuclear test site in this area. “Semipalatinsk is a most abnormal place. There is high radioactivity level there. UFOs have been seen here. I cannot give you the exact number but it is a fact that they appear here regularly,” Izteleuov said. However, he has no explanation of the causes of appearance of the unidentified flying objects in this area. The scientist said that ufologists of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries gathered for a field congress on August 14, 2012, in Petropavlovsk to study the phenomenon of Semei area anomalies. Several observations of alleged UFO were registered in Petropavlovsk as well. Leading CIS ufologists made reports during the congress. “It is impossible to say exactly when the first contact with extraterrestrial civilizations happens or whether UFO really exist. I haven’t seen any so far,” the ufologist said. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that Discovery Channel planned to make a movie about aliens in Kazakhstan mountains. By Arman Baimukhanov
