Almaty roads will closed for World Class Almaty bicycle race on Saturday, August 16, Tengrinews reports.
The roads along the route of the race will be partially closed from 5:00 am to 11:30 am. Drivers are advised to take detours between Rozybakiev-Levitan streets, Al-Farabi avenue, from Dostyk avenue to Rozybakiev street along Al-Farabi avenue and along Eastern Byroad.

Participants of the race had to get registered on the official website of World Class Almaty. According to the organisers, around 1 thousand participants of over 18 y.o. are going to turn up for the race. The race will be divided into categories by bicycle types, gender and age. The race kicks off at 8:00 am at the crossing of Rozybakiev and Kozhabekov streets, near MEGA shopping mall.
Tour of World Class Almaty aims to popularize active lifestyle in Almaty and to promote cycling in Kazakhstan.
