Tengrinews.kz - The VI World Nomad Games will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2026. This was announced by the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Altynbek Maksutov, according to Vesti.kz.
Initially, it was decided to transfer the hosting of the 2026 Nomad Games to Uzbekistan. However, this decision was changed, and now the competition will again take place in Kyrgyzstan, which started this tradition.
"I want to share the good news with you. The World Nomad Games, which originated in Kyrgyzstan, will take place in 2026 in their homeland," he said.
Kyrgyzstan is the founder of the World Nomad Games and has hosted three such events on its own soil. The fourth games were held in Turkey, and the fifth are currently taking place in Kazakhstan.

Earlier, on September 8, 2024, the grand opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games took place at Astana Arena. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev participated in the event alongside several high-profile guests.
