Racing: Kazakhstan's Shagirov and Moroz in 4th place overall at Africa Eco Race 2014

Mobile Racing Team pilot Kanat Shagirov and navigator Alexandr Moroz from Kazakhstan have advanced to the 4th place in the general ranking after the 7th stage of the prestigious marathon rally Africa Eco Race 2014, Tengrinews reports referring to Vesti.kz. Shagirov and Moroz, driving Hummer H3 Evo, covered the 534-kilometer distance in 6 hours and 24 minutes, finishing the 7th stage of the Africa Eco Race in the 18th place in Mauritania. The second Kazakhstan crew of Sazanov and Sakhimov finished the stage in the 24th place, completing the distance in 7:30:29. The race's favorites - French crew of pilot Jean Louis Schlesser and navigator Thierry Magnaldi - won the stage. The French duo is also leading the general ranking of the African rally. Kazakhstan's Shagirov and Moroz are in the 4th place and Sazanov and Sakhimov has the 12th place overall. The 8th stage of Africa Eco Race 2014 is taking place today, on January 8, 2014. It is 421 kilometers long. The international marathon rally Sonangol Africa Eco Race 2014 is held on the territory of three states Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal. The 5,580-kilometer route contains the total of 2 997 kilometers of special stages. The race started from St Cyprien on December 29, 2013 and will finish in Dakar at the Lac Rose (Rose Lake) in Senegal on January 11, 2014.
