Tengrinews.kz – Almaty police have issued a warning about counterfeit tickets ahead of the historic Champions League match between Kairat and Real Madrid, scheduled for September 30 at the Central Stadium.
Ticket sales and official prices have not yet been announced, but authorities say fraudsters are already trying to exploit fans’ excitement.
“This victory is our shared joy. At the same time, we must warn you that cases of ticket fraud are increasing,” said Anes Kaldybayev, head of the cybercrime unit of the Almaty police.
He noted that suspicious websites are already offering fake tickets. Police reminded fans that reselling or purchasing tickets from unauthorized sources is illegal, urging supporters to use only official distributors.
Tickets for the Kairat vs Real Madrid game are expected to go on sale no earlier than three weeks before the match, likely through the club’s official website.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerbol Myrzabossynov, confirmed that the Champions League fixture will be held in Almaty despite calls to move the game to Astana. Meanwhile, Kairat fans have launched a petition to limit ticket sales to prevent mass scalping.
