Olympics: Kazakhstan sportsmen freezing in London

Kazakhstan canoe slalom sportsmen are freezing in London. The team is complaining about lack of warm clothes in their gear, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Vesti.kz. “The weather leaves much to be desires. It rains every day and it is cold. I wish we had small warm jackets in our outfits, considering the climate of this country,” senior coach of Kazakhstan canoe slalom team Yekaterina Lukicheva said. In general, Lukicheva says, the conditions in the Olympics village are good and the organizers are friendly and ready to help. The living conditions are good as well. “We like everything. Even though it is very different from Beijing. The village has a canteen with different cuisines, gyms and saunas. In our free time we can go to a salon and have our hair cut and nails done,” the coach said. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that captain of Kazakhstan Olympics team Serik Sapiyev did not like the quality and the design of the clothes designed by Kazakhstan designer Kuralai Nurkadilova. Later the designer tried to smooth out the critics explaining that Sapiyev received a wrong set of outfit.
