Norwegians will make a cycling tour across Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. The tour starts on August 6. Tge group of cyclists that includes 10 Norwegians and 6 Kazakhs will ride along Semey-Almaty-Astana route. Two of the members of the group are disabled Harald WIik and Tore Naerland. Wiik and Naerland are expected to bring tandem bikes with special regulators that they will give to the Association of Blind People in Astana after completion of the tour. The event held by Norwegian "Bike for Peace" is dedicated to the closure of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site. The tour will last for 23 days finishing in Astana on August 29.
