Previously, Poltoranin won the fourth stage of the Tour de Ski in Toblach, Italy.
However, after the final stage on January 11, the Kazakhstani finished eighth in the overall standing. Martin Johnsgurd Sundby from Norway won the Tour de Ski. Norweigian skier Petter Northug Jr landed on the second place. He was followed by a Russian sportsman Evgeniy Belov.
The Ski World Cup has not finished yet. Skiers will compete in Otepaa (Estonia) on January 17-18, Rubynsk (Russia) on January 23-25, Oestersund (Sweden) on February 14-15, Lahti (Finland) on March 7-8 and in Norwegian Drammen and Oslo on March 11th and 14-15th respectively.
The World Championship takes place between the World Cup from February 18 to March 1st in Swedish Falun.
