Elizabeth came last after her short program with 49.84 points and fourth after finishing her free skating program with 115.32 points. As a result, Elizabeth, who turned out to be the youngest figure skater at the competition, landed on the 7th line with 165.16 points in total.
24-year-old American figure skater and a three-time US national champion Ashley Wagner clinched the gold medal of the tournament after earning 202.52 points.
The silver medal went to Russian Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, 2015 World Champion and 2014 European Champion, who got 188.99 points. 17-year-old Yuka Nagai from Japan took the bronze medal.
Free Skating program of Elizabeth Tursynbayeva:
This is the first season for Elizabeth when she competes at the senior competitive level. She made her senior international debut in September at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic, where she finished second.
