18-year-old athlete, representative of the discipline "freestyle acrobatics" Ardana Makhanova said that on the first day of the Asian Games in Harbin (China) she suffered a broken arm, but this did not stop her, and the Kazakhstani continued to compete with an injury. As a result, her zeal brought a bronze medal to Kazakhstan's piggy bank.

Earlier, Ardana Makhanova and her partner Ayana Zholdas showed the third result in synchronized diving and won bronze medals at the Asian Games in Harbin (China) in 2025. The Chinese team took first and second places.

Following the Asian Games, the national team won 4 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals. The largest contribution to the medal count was made by representatives of biathlon (gold, two silver and bronze), as well as freestyle (gold, silver and bronze).

The Kazakhstan team with four gold medals took fourth place in the overall team standings. The leaders were the teams of China (32 gold medals), South Korea (16 gold medals) and Japan (10 gold medals).
