A graduate of Ole Brazil football academy, young Kazakhstan football player Rauan Sariyev has become a player of Brazilian Botafogo club in Rio de Janeiro, Sports.kz reports citing Brazilian media. Sariyev, who last year became the first Kazakhstan citizen to signing a contract with Brazilian football club (Atletico Mineiro), already started training with Botafogo’s U-20 Pantera team. “I had a good experience in Atletico Mineiro and I have already adapted to Brazilian football. I want to play and score more goals here in Botafogo,” Sariyev said. According to the source, the striker became part of the deal for players exchange between Atletico Mineiro and Botafogo. Botafogo is one of traditionally powerful football clubs in Brazil. It is a two-time Champion of Brazil, a multiple-time champion of Rio de Janeiro and the winner of CONMEBOL Cup. In different years the club had such players as Garrincha, Jairzinho, Mario Zagallo, Paulo Cesar Lima, Nilton Santos and Bebeto. The club’s symbols are Donald Duck and the Manneken Pis.
