The Russians beat the Finns 3:1 and won the final match against Sweden 3:2 remaining their last years tittle. It was the 14 Russia-Swedish final in bandy championships. The 34th World Championship was held between January 26 and February 2 in Irkutsk, Russia with several matches in Shelokhov (Irkutsk oblast).
