Kazakhstani judoka Dastan Ykybayev has earned a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Kazakhstani judoka Dastan Ykybayev has earned a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Competing in the -73 kg weight division Ykybayev defeated Denis Yartsev from Russia, David Nikogosyan from Armenia, Gusein Ragimli from Azerbaijan and Georgian judoka Zdvial Kapanadze. In the final, Ykybayev lost to Rustam Orujov from Azerbaijan.

Ykybayev’s silver medal was the only medal Kazakhstani national team got at the tournament.

The Grand Prix took place from March 20 to 22 in Tbilisi.
