Tengrinews.kz – The International Skating Union (ISU) has commented on the work of Kazakhstan's figure skating referee, Nadezhda Paretskaya, following a scandal in the media regarding her scores at the Winter Olympics in Italy.
An official letter was sent to the Kazakhstan Figure Skating Federation (KFFK), praising Paretskaya's work at the Olympic Games.
The scandal with the Kazakh referee: What are the allegations?
Recall that the referee from Kazakhstan worked at the Winter Olympics in Italy, including participating in scoring competitions involving Mikhail Shaidorov and Sofya Samodelkina.
After the Games, foreign media accused Paretskaya of allegedly inflating the scores for the Russian figure skater and lowering them for other favorites in the women’s singles program.
However, if you look at the scores of all the judges, you will find that nearly every one of them has certain skaters for whom their scores significantly differ from the rest. A more detailed analysis can be found in our article.
