The Kazakhstan Olympic team won seven medals at the Games in Paris. The only gold medal went to judoka Yeldos Smetov, who became the best in the category up to 60 kilograms.

Three times Kazakhstanis got second place. Gymnast Nariman Kurbanov, Greco-Roman wrestler Demeu Zhadrayev and boxer Nurbek Oralbay finished the Olympics with silver.

Bronze medal winners at the Olympics were Nazym Kyzaybay (boxing), shooters Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev (mixed team events) and judoka Gusman Kyrgyzbayev.
