Four Kazakhstan boxers gained passes into the finals of the Asian Confederation Boxing Championship held in Inchon, South Korea, Naringe.kz reports.
Ilyas Suleimenov in super flyweight category won 30:17 in 3 rounds over Rey Saludar from Philippines. He will fight against Chang Yong from China in the final.
Another Kazakhstan boxer, Aidar Amirzakov, lightweight, won 12:8 over Abdila Anarbaiuuly from Kyrgyzstan. His next opponent will be Liu Qiang from China.
Rustam Svayev won semi-finals in super welterweight category. After the first round he was losing 9:11 to Uzbek Nodirlek Kosimov, but managed to win 38:34 in the final rounds. He will fight for gold against Chinese Maimatti Tusunqiong.
Arman Rysbekov, cruiserweight, missed one point to get into the finals. He lost to Chinese Fanlong Meng 17:16.
Doszhan Ospanov, heavyweight, fought with Zhang Zhilei from China, who used to be a champion of Asian Winter Olympics, prizewinner of the Olympic Games and the World Championship. The fight was tough and Ospanov won it with 16:15 score. He will fight for gold with Iranian sportsman Abdulmajid Sepahvandi.
