Figure Skating: Kazakhstan national team ranked 5th thanks to Ten’s silver medal

Kazakhstan national team is ranked 5th in the overall ranking of the World Figure Skating Championship that was held in Canadian London, thanks to Denis Ten’s silver medal, Vesti.kz reports. The national figure skating team of Kazakhstan that consists of Denis Ten and Abzal Rakimgaliyev shares the fifth place with German and Italian teams that also won one silver medal each. The Canadian national team won three medals (gold, silver and bronze) and is the leader of the ranking. The Russian team is ranked second with two medals (gold and bronze). South Korea and America are in the third place with one gold medal each. Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that Denis Ten moved up to the sixth line in the individual ranking of the International Skating Union. Patrick Chan of Canada, who didn’t let Ten become the winner in London, is the leader of this ranking.
