Despite of the snow, four participants of the international expedition to K2, got to the intermediate camp at 6,100 meters. The frontline team inludes Kazakhstan alpinists Maksut Zhumayev and Vassiliy Pivtsov, Gerlinda Kaltenbrunner from Austria and Darek Zaluski from Poland. Other two members of the expedition, Ralf Dujmovits from Germany and Tommy Heinrich from Argentina, stayed behind in the first camp. According to the alpinists the way to the second camp was not easy because of snow that made it difficult to walk. The alpinists are planning to get to the second camp today. Should the weather be good, the alpinists are planning to move to the third camp the same day or stay in the second one if the weather is bad. There is no landslide threat between the second and the third camps. Chogori is located in the Karakorum mountain system in Kashmir province at the territory of Pakistan. Its height is 8,611 meters.
