Dinara Saduakassova has become the youngest international Grandmaster in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Yevgeny Yegorov, executive secretary of Kazakhstan Chess Federation. “The World Chess Federation (FIDE) officially awarded Dinara Saduakassova with the title of the International Woman Grandmaster on December 4. This is the highest chess title. It is a great accomplishment for a chess-player and is good for promotion of chess in Kazakhstan. Only Flyura Khassanova and Maria Sergeyeva have been awarded with this title in Kazakhstan,” Yegorov told the journalists on December 7. 16-y.o. Dinara Saduakassova learned that we was awarded the International Grandmaster title when she was taking part in the Pavlodar Open international chess tournament that kicked off on November 30. She won the second place in the tournament. Chess players from Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Georgia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Kazakhstan took part in the competition. “They have awarded me with International Grandmaster title on a provisional basis at the FIDE Congress that was held in Istanbul. However I had to score a required number of points and to reach three qualifying standards to prove this title. I have reached the first standard in International Dubai tournament in 2011. There were still two standards left. And I have reached them successfully in the Olympics and have gained several points in the World Championship. My ranking exceeded 20300 points and I rightly became an International Grandmaster. I was awarded with the certificate and the badge. I am aware of the fact that I am the youngest International Grandmaster in Kazakhstan.”
