Boxing: Golovkin can fight Martinez, if he wins Macklin
Lou DiBella, the promoter of Argentina's WBC middleweight world champion 38-y.o. Sergio Martinez, says that his boxer might fight WBA middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin of Kazakhstan if the latter wins British Matthew Macklin, Vesti.kz reports. "Maybe [the fight between Martinez and Golovkin can happen], if he doesn't lose to Matthew Macklin. Golovkin is very young and strong, but he can lose to Macklin. Golovkin has never fought anybody good. Everybody is crowning Golovkin as the greatest Middleweight on earth, but who has he beaten? Rosado? Ishida? Proksa? I think Golovkin is special, but Macklin is the toughest fighter that he's ever fought," DiBella told BoxingScene.com. The middleweight fight between Golovkin and Macklin will be held on June 29, 2013 at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket city (Connecticut, USA) and will become the main boxing event of the night on HBO Boxing After Dark.
