Kazakhstani muay thai team has won 18 medals at the 2015 IFMA Royal World Cup, Tengrinews reports.
Out of 24 athletes 18 won medals: 1 gold, 6 silver and 11 bronze medals.
13 y.o. Maksat Dyusengali competing in the -32 kg weight division brought the gold medal.
The silver medalists are: Abdurasul Machzhon (12-13 y.o. – 36 kg weight division), Katrin Vechkutina (16-17, -48 kg), Zhanibek Kanatbayev (16-17, -63.5 kg), Nikolay Samsuyev (16-17, -67 kg), Vadim Borka (14-15, - 42 kg) and Vladislav Goloshubov (14-15, -51 kg).
The bronze medalists are: Abdybek Pernekhan (16-17 y.o. – 48 kg), Dmitriy Zhuev (15-16, -51 kg) and Anatoliy Solomkin (16-17, -54 kg). In addition to the youth competitors, Ablay Kuralbayev (-48 kg) and Raimbek Sembek (-63.5 kg) won the bronze in the B class. Rauan Kadybayev (-51 kg), Ilyas Mussin (-54 kg), Ishan Galiev (-57 kg), Abil Galyev (-60 kg), Zhanserik Amirzhanov (-67 kg) and Nikolay Gusniev (+91 kg) won the third places in the A class.
The IFMA Royal World Cup gathered sportsmen from 5 continets. The championship took place in Bangkok from August 13 to 22. This year, Thailand presented three Royal Throphies for the competition. According to IFMA, “His Majesty the King’s Trophy will be presented to the best male national team, Her Majesty the Queen’s Trophy will be presented to the best female national team, and His Royal Highness the Prince’s Trophy will be given to the presented to the best junior team”.
