The International Chess Federation has released the latest version of the world's best chess players' rankings. Among the juniors, Bibisara Asaubayeva, Meruert Kamalidenova, Ksenia Balabaeva, Alua Nurman, and Lia Kurmangalieva have made it into the top 20. The list also includes four representatives from India and two from China.
Additionally, the leader of the national team, Bibisara Asaubayeva, has achieved 16th place in the world women's rankings.
The Kazakhstan women's team previously won a silver medal at the Chess Olympiad in Budapest, featuring players Bibisara Asaubayeva, Meruert Kamalidenova, Ksenia Balabaeva, Alua Nurman, and Amina Kairbekova.
The FIDE ranking is a monthly chess rating published by the International Chess Federation. Participants earn points for each victory in competitions under the federation's auspices. The ranking consists of several categories: Open (for all players regardless of age and gender), Women (for female players only), Junior (for players under 20), and Girls (for female players under 20).

All members of the Kazakhstan women's team fall under the Girls category, as none have turned 21. Bibisara Asaubayeva is 20, Meruert Kamalidenova is 19, Ksenia Balabaeva is 18, Alua Nurman is 17, and Amina Kairbekova is 18. Lia Kurmangalieva, who is not part of the national team but ranks 18th in the world, was also born in 2005.
