Tengrinews.kz - Law enforcement officials are conducting searches at the residence of Vladislav Bakalchuk, husband of Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk.

Details from Russian media are limited, but sources indicate that the request for the search warrant was submitted to the court by an investigator.

On September 18, a shooting occurred near one of the Wildberries offices in the "Romanov Dvor" business center in Moscow, resulting in two fatalities and several injuries. On the same day, another Wildberries office located in the "Iskra-Park" business center near the "Dynamo" metro station was also attacked. Criminal cases have been initiated by the police.

Following the shooting, Tatyana Bakalchuk tearfully addressed her husband, whom she is divorcing and holds responsible for the incident. Vladislav Bakalchuk stated that he had come to negotiations with colleagues when they were attacked, labeling the event a "major provocation."

Later, law enforcement detained him and charged him with several criminal offenses, including "murder," "attempted murder," "attempted assault on law enforcement officers," and "usurpation of power."

According to RIA Novosti, a Moscow court on Friday detained 20 individuals connected to the Wildberries shooting case. The day before, six suspects were sent to pre-trial detention until November 18, and another 14 were detained today. The consideration of arrest requests continues, with over 20 submitted to the court.

Tengrinews.kz has reached out to the marketplace administration to inquire whether these events will impact operations in Kazakhstan. The statement from Tatyana Bakalchuk provided to the editorial team is available via the link.
