According to operational information, the tremors were registered on May 29 at 1:15 p.m. Astana time. The earthquake had a magnitude of 5.0.

According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the epicenter of the magnitude 5.0 earthquake was located 10 kilometers south of the village of Sary-Bulak, 110 kilometers northeast of the city of Manas and 150 kilometers southwest of Bishkek.

In settlements of Kyrgyzstan, the intensity of the earthquake was:

  • Sary-Bulak village – 4.5 points;
  • Nichke, Chogorchu, Birlik, Kol and Tabylgy villages – 4 points;
  • Kyzyl-Uran, Ketmen-Tobo, Kyzyl-Oy, Birdik and Atay villages – 3 points.
