Tengrinews.kz – An earthquake in Kyrgyzstan occurred near the border with Kazakhstan.
According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake was recorded on July 25 at 02:40 a.m. Astana time. The epicenter was located in Kyrgyzstan, 38 kilometers northwest of the city of Jalal-Abad. The tremors had a magnitude of 4.3.
In Kyrgyz settlements, the earthquake’s intensity was recorded as follows:
- Massy city, Kara-Bulak village – about 4 points;
- Kochkor-Ata city, Gelegen village – 3.5 points;
- Mailuu-Suu city – 3 points.
As a reminder, on the morning of July 24, an earthquake occurred near Lake Alakol in the Zhetysu region.
Earlier, on July 23, an earthquake struck eastern Kazakhstan, with tremors of 4 points felt by residents of the Abai and East Kazakhstan regions.
