Tengrinews.kz - Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash near Aktau. The flight was en route from Baku to Grozny.
The president’s message was shared on his official Instagram account.
"I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the crash involving the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane en route from Baku to Grozny and wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the post reads.

Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was reported to return to Baku following the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane.
The passenger list of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane has been published.
Initial reports about the Azerbaijan Airlines plane, en route from Baku to Grozny, requesting an emergency landing in Aktau appeared at 11:20 A.M.
According to Grozny airport’s press service, the plane was diverted due to dense fog. It was initially redirected to Makhachkala before being sent to Aktau.
