Tengrinews.kz – The state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Uzbekistan has concluded, Akorda reports.
At Tashkent-Humo Airport, the Head of State was seen off by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Uzbek leader accompanied the President of Kazakhstan all the way to the aircraft stairs.
The heads of state bid each other a warm farewell.

State visit to Uzbekistan
On Friday, November 14, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Tashkent on a state visit at the invitation of the Uzbek leader. The heads of state held one-on-one talks, took part in a meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and launched seven joint projects worth 1.2 billion dollars.
On November 15, the presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan arrived at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. The purpose of the Center is to preserve, deeply study, and promote the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan as an integral part of world Islamic civilization.
Mirziyoyev also awarded Tokayev Uzbekistan’s highest state honor — the Order “Oliy Darajali Dustlik” (“Friendship of the Highest Degree”).
On November 16, Tashkent hosted the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. Speaking at the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan proposed uniting efforts in the extraction and processing of rare earth metals.
The Head of State also addressed the issue of water security. And Tokayev named the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties as a key priority for the region.
