Two restaurants run by French celebrity chef Joel Robuchon in Macau and Hong Kong have placed first and third in an annual poll of Asia's Top 20 fine dining establishments, AFP reports. Robuchon Au Dome in Macau dislodged Singapore's Iggy's as the top restaurant in an annual guide issued by German premium kitchen appliance maker Miele. A Singapore newcomer, Japanese chef Tatsuya Wakuda's Waku Ghin, placed second. In third place was L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Hong Kong, with Iggy's slipping to fourth place. Mozaic restaurant in the Indonesian island of Bali came in fifth. "The man many herald as the world's greatest chef and his lieutenants in Asia have done it again," said a press statement from Miele Guide, which lists Asia's 500 best restaurants after a voting process involving industry professionals and the public. While restaurants offering European cuisine topped the list, Asian food was well represented in the Top 20. "Pride in Asia's cultures is a common thread seen in 2013's Top 20 list. Though progressive restaurants prevail, behind their modern facades they are often rooted in centuries-old Asian culinary history," the release said. The top 10 in this year's list are: 1. Robuchon au Dome in Macau 2. Waku Ghin in Singapore 3. L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Hong Kong 4. Iggy's in Singapore 5. Mozaic in Bali, Indonesia 6. Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul in South Korea 7. Caprice in Hong Kong 8. Amber in Hong Kong 9. 8 1/2 Otto e Mezzo Bombana in Hong Kong 10. Les Amis in Singapore
