The most beautiful girl of Kazakhstan's capital Astana has been selected at the final of the Miss Astana-2014 that took place in Astana-Marriott hotel on November 1, Tengrinews reports.

19-year-old Asiya Abisova was awarded the Miss Astana 2014 title and the right to represent the capital of Kazakhstan at the nationwide beauty contest Miss Kazakhstan-2014.

First Vice Miss Astana Assel Musaldinova and Second Vice Miss Astana Mariash Bigaliyeva will also represent Astana at the Miss Kazakhstan-2014 that will be held in Almaty on November 28. Aidana Kulshymanova became Third Vice Miss Astana.

Miss Astana -2014 Asiya Abisova was born in Semey in Kazakhstan’s east, but two years ago moved to Astana. "Eight years ago my sister became Miss Semey and since that time I was dreaming of winning a Miss Astana title. Today my dream has come true. Of course, it was hard. We were attending rehearsals for a month. But I know it was not for nothing. I am studying in the Eurasian National University majoring in ecology. I have no boyfriend yet,” Asiya Abisova is quoted as saying by Kazpravda.kz. The young lady is also engaged in modeling and attends dance classes.

Besides, Asiya Abisova, Assel Musaldinova, Diana Smailova, Aruzhan Sandybai, Kristina Mezhinskaya, Leila Asanova and Gulzhan Shaimakhova were awarded in different nominations and received prizes from sponsors. Maimuna Galiyeva won the prize of the general sponsor and will represent one of Kazakh brands in Europe in 2015.

The contest had four stages: presentation, defile in national dresses made by Kazakh designer Kairulla Abishev, dance performance and defile in evening gowns.

According to organizers, more than 200 girls aged 16-27 and taller than 168 cm were eager to become the most beautiful girl of Astana, but only 18 of them reached the finals.

"The winner will represent Astana at the Miss Kazakhstan and will also receive prizes from the contest’s sponsors. During one year, Miss Astana will be taking part in all the events representing the capital. There is no contract with the winner, but she still has certain duties. She must participate in the events, follow all the rules and observe the etiquette. She also must not be engaged in any conflicts and should be an example for all the girls,” director of Miss Astana-2014 beauty contest Olga Radesh is quoted as saying by Kazpravda.kz.

The jury panel was made up of a representative of Miss Kazakhstan management Sovet Seitov, director of Miss Astana-2014 beauty pageant Olga Radesh, TV presenter Saltanat Tugelbayeva, one of the sponsors Alina Zhogulova, head of 24KZ TV channel Alexandr Aksyutin, world champion in karate Aidar Makhmetov, journalists Shynar Ospanova and Irina Ten, and head of Otbasym National Values Center Nurzhamal Zhakupova.
