The photos were made by famous fashion-photographer Giampaolo Sgura from Italy, who works for glossy magazines like Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, Vogue Germany and Vogue Korea, Italian Glamour, Italian and German GQ. Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Ermenegildo Zegna, La Perla, MaxMara, Gucci, Pierre Balmain, Massimo Dutti and Blumarine are also among his clients.
Alena Subbotina was born and grew up in the city of Almaty, in southern Kazakhstan. At the early stages in her modeling career, no modeling agencies in her hometown showed much interest in the girl, and not a single designer chose the girl to model in their shows at Kazakhstan Fashion Weeks. But it turned out there were all wrong.
She went to New York and got a job with a prestigious modeling agency. Alena Subbotina has been taking part in shows of leading brands during fashion weeks in New York, Paris and Barcelona. In 2012, she opened Givenchy show, and got fashion magazines like Vogue Italy and Germany, racing to get her photos. She was the face of MAC cosmetics, collections of Italian Brunello Cucinelli, and modeled for the spring-summer collection of Theory.
