International poker series kicked off in Almaty

The largest poker series in the history of Kazakhstan has kicked off in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. Guarantee prize pool makes 250 thousand dollars. Poker players from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Russia gathered in Kazakhstan hotel. Poker tournaments with various prize money and structure will be held every day from June 19 to 25. Organizers have promised to hold a separate tour with $70 entrance fee for ladies only. This is the first international poker series held in Kazakhstan. Poker is popular all over the world, but it is banned in some countries, like Russia for example. Kazakh national poker federation took advantage of this fact.
