EXPO-2017 logo selected Wind Energy logo

Wind Energy has been selected the logo of the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017, Director of Communications and Marketing Department of EXPO-2017 National Company Assel Kozhakova told Tengrinews.kz. According to her, the winning logo features symbols of renewable energy sources: the Sun, sea waves, the Earth’s magnetic field and wind. Bright and clear colors used in the logo go well with the subject of the exhibition: Future Energy. “The combination will help present Astana as both Kazakhstan cultural capital and a new technologies hub,” she said. Two best logos were selected during online voting for EXPO-2017 logos that finished on July 23. The voting on the official website of the EXPO started on July 9. Kazakhstan residents were selecting from 7 logos prepared by 27 designers from 18 countries. Over 10 thousand people took part in the voting. The final decision on the logo was made at the meeting of the state commission chaired by Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov. By Assemgul Kassenova
