Artists of the world's most famous theaters will perform in Astana Opera theater in October 2013, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of the theater. "The world premiere of Astana Opera theater is the main event in the new season of world opera culture as well as that of Kazakhstan. World class stars will be performing at the theater's stage during four days," the press-release says. According to the press-service, the premiere of Attila opera by Giuseppe Verdi will be held on October 21 with participation of artists from Bolshoi Theatre (Moscow), Mariinsky Theater (St. Petersburg), Teatro dell’Opera di Roma (Rome) and LaFenice (Venice). "Valeriy Gergiyev of Mariinsky Theater is the musical director and conductor of the performance; staging will be done by Pier Luigi Pizzi from Teatro dell’Opera di Roma; lead parts will be played by Ildar Abdrazakov and Anna Markarova of Mariinsky Theater," Astana Opera reports. Directors of the world's top theaters La Scala, Covent Garden, Scottish Opera, Opera National de Lyon, international unions of opera theaters Opera America and Opera Europe and prominent theater figures from 15 different countries will attend the historic event of Kazakhstan's cultural life," the organizers said. The world premiere will the accompanied by a unique exposition of pieces from the first staging of Attila opera in 1846 that Venice theater La Fenice will bring over to Kazakhstan. Russia’s Bolshoi Theater will also bring antic opera art pieces, including the costumes of famous people of opera and theater world, for the exhibition. A gala-concert of classic music artists Denis Matsuyev, Svetlana Zaharova, Alibek Dnishev, Sergei Nakaryakov, Sergei Krylov, Olga Peretyatko, Maira Kerey, Medet Chotbayev, Alfiya Karimova, Abzal Mukhitdinov and others will be held on October 22. An international conference Opera in 21st Century participated by Franco Soda of Spain, French Richard Martet and Germany's Thomas Migge will take place on the same day. Verdi's Attila opera will be repeated one more time on October 23. But this time Antonio Pirolli from Mariinsky Theater will be conducting the performance. A gala-concert of Astana Opera stars will be held on October 24. Astana Opera is located at the crossing of Saraishik Street and Turan Avenue in Astana.
