Second White Fall festival of unique design to be held in Almaty

Second festival of conceptual and industrial design Design Weekend White Fall will be held in Almaty by Mechanical piano artistic group, Tengrinews.kz reports. On November 18 to 20 everyone will be able to see a selection of the best works. In the selection process that lasted for several months the organizers chose 20 unique pieces of art reflecting the festival's concept. Video art works were also accepted for the contest. The exhibition will mainly contain such designer works as original furniture and decoration elements: different lamps, holders, etc. According to the organizers, elegance and beauty of the art pieces were the main criteria for selection of the works. The day before opening of the festival Mechanical piano brand will demonstrate its clothes collection at a private show. Mechanical piano brand was created in 1999 by Nurlan Turekhanov and his wife, designer Aigul Kuandykova. The festival will be held in the building of Almaty financial center on Al-Farabi street. Mechanical piano artistic group has held unique “lie down” photo exhibitions before. Almaty residents and guest liked the erotic photo-performance the most. The fans are currently expecting new shows from the group.
