Common navigation field based on GLONASS system may be created in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing deputy Director General and the General Engineer of Russia Space Systems Gregory Stupak.
“Right now there are all prerequisites for creation of a common navigation direct field of the four countries: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan,” Stupak said at the international forum of satellite navigation in Moscow.
According to him, this will give several advantages in geo-informationof the four countries and will help create a common cartographic space. “Of course, this project is based on GLONASS,” Stupak said. He noted that the project will be implemented as soon as the political decision is made.
