President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has congratulated his compatriots on the Easter, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the President.
“I sincerely congratulate you on the Easter Sunday! It has a deep moral value, instilling in people's hearts faith and hope, the pursuit of goodness and peace. It is a time of good thoughts, good deeds, appeals to the true spiritual values - mercy, mutual respect, love to the family and to the nation," the President said.
The President also noted that "thanks to the purposeful state policy, there is peace and freedom of religion in Kazakhstan, conditions are created for development of languages and traditions of all the ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan as one big family.”
"Our capital Astana has become one of the centers of the global interreligious and intercultural dialogue. We are getting ready to host the 5th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in June 2015," Nazarbayev said.
He also noted that "a significant contribution to peace and stability in the country is made by the Russian Orthodox Church in Kazakhstan, as well as by other Christian communities".
"Our people are united, together we are building our strong and stable Fatherland," Nazarbayev stressed.
"On this bright holiday I wish all the Kazakhstanis prosperity, peace of mind, well-being and confidence in the present and in the future!" the President said.
