Georgian orthodox church to be built in Kazakhstan

Georgian Orthodox Church will be built in Kazakhstan, News-Georgia reports citing InterpressNews agency. Delegation of Georgian Orthodox Church will arrive in Kazakhstan on September 17 on invitation of His Beatitude Alexander, the Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan. The delegation will be headed by the Metropolitan of Borzhomi and Bakurian Seraphim (Zhorzhua). “Georgians living in Kazakhstan expressed the desire to build the church and this will be the first Georgian church at the territory of Kazakhstan,” Metropolitan Seraphim said. He also told about the coming meeting with representatives of Georgian community to choose the place for construction of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
