Four Kazakhstan citizens were injured in a car accident during Hajj, Tengrinews.kz reports citing official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry Altay Abibullayev. “Hajj can be clouded with force-majeure situations. On October 22 four pilgrims from Kazakhstan received light injuries in a car accident in Mecca. After some medical aid they continued their pilgrimage,” Abibullayev said. The official representative noted that the first day of Hajj to Mecca started on October 24. According to him, Kazakhstan received a quota for 5.5 thousand people this year. “5,246 Kazakhstan citizens have arrived in Mecca since the beginning of the pilgrimage. Kazakhstan consulate in Jeddah and Kazakhstan embassy in Riyadh offer all necessary support to the pilgrims, perform monitoring, meet large groups of pilgrims in Jeddah airport and transfer them to their places of residence.
