Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, where the 16th BRICS Summit is taking place, according to Akorda press service.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held several discussions with participants at the 16th BRICS Summit. On the sidelines of the summit in Kazan, he had brief conversations with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, Congolese President Denis Sassou-Nguesso, and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Earlier, it was reported that Tokayev arrived in Kazan on Wednesday for a working visit at Putin's invitation to participate in the BRICS summit.
During his visit, the President of Kazakhstan is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings and speak at the BRICS "outreach"/"BRICS+" plenary session.
