Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has stated that the new Constitution has already initiated a large-scale transformation of the state and society. According to him, the history of independent Kazakhstan has never seen such profound changes.
Speaking at the 12th "Aibyn" International Military-Patriotic Youth Gathering, the President noted that the country's Basic Law comes into force on July 1, marking a fundamentally new milestone in the nation's development.
"The new Constitution has already launched a massive reset of all state and public institutions. There have never been such serious transformations in the 35-year history of our country, let alone before that. We are talking about Kazakhstan's progress and technological advancement driven by high-quality science," the Head of State said.
Tokayev emphasized that the country needs patriotic young people who possess knowledge and willpower, and an ambition to serve their Motherland—the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"However, even the most carefully crafted state plans will remain only on paper without social unity, consolidation, mutual tolerance, and solidarity. This is the fundamental significance of the Basic Law. The Constitution is, in essence, a solid and unshakable platform for uniting all sensible and creative forces—true patriots—around national plans and the strategic goals of our country's reform course. Our new Constitution is a moral and legal compass; it is a life guide that will lead all of us, but primarily the younger generation, toward achieving stability in our society and a dignified life for our citizens based on respect for the law and the interests of the entire country," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated.
Previously, the President visited the 12th "Aibyn" International Military-Patriotic Youth Gathering, which is being held in Shchuchinsk, Akmola region. The "Aibyn-2026" program includes military-sports, intellectual, creative, and applied military competitions. This year, the event brought together over 50 teams from various regions of Kazakhstan, as well as from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
