Tengrinews.kz - The President of Kazakhstan had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his support to the Japanese people in connection with the recent earthquake in Japan and hopes that it will not lead to serious consequences.

"In turn, Fumio Kishida regretted the forced decision to postpone the timing of his official visit to Kazakhstan, including to participate in the First Summit of the dialogue "Central Asia + Japan. The head of state took with understanding the decision to postpone the planned visit", - stated the press service.

The interlocutors also discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Japanese relations and exchanged views on issues of interregional cooperation.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has canceled his visit to Kazakhstan due to a potential earthquake.
