New Mayor of Kokshetau appointed

Zharkyn Zhumagulov has been appointed Akim (Mayor) of Kokshetau city to replace Munarbek Batyrkhanov who resigned, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports.His candidacy was approved on Thursday, August 29 at the session of city akimat (Local authorities), the pess-service of Kokshetau city akimat told Interfax-Kazakhstan.Zhumagulov used to head Zelenostroi Astana LLP and was a member of Astana city Maslikhat (local executive body).Kokshetau is the administrative center of Akmola Oblast in central Kazakhstan.
