Nurmukhambet Abdibekov has been appointed new Akim of Karaganda Oblast, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of the Oblast Akimat.
Abdibekov replaced the former Akim (Mayor) Baurzhan Abdishev. Before his appointment, Abdibekov worked as Vice Akim of Aktobe Oblast and earlier as Akim of Aktobe city. Abdibekov also used to be Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies.
The appointment was preceded by a number of other appointments. New Akims were appointed in Kostanay and Atyrau. On June 18, Akhmedbek Akhmetzhanov replaced the former Akim of Kostanay Gauez Nurmukhambetov. And on June 20, Nurlybek Ozhayev was appointed Akim of Atyrau.
