New Karaganda Akim appointed

A new Akim (Mayor) of Karaganda city has been appointed on June 28, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of the Karaganda Oblast Akimat.

A new Akim (Mayor) of Karaganda city has been appointed on June 28, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of the Karaganda Oblast Akimat.

“The head of the region Nurmukhambet Abdibekov presented the new Akim of Karaganda Nurlan Aubakirov,” the press office announced through its official Twitter account.

Aubakirov used to work as Deputy of Akim of Karaganda from 2010 to 2011. Since 2012, he had worked as Akim of Balkhash town.

 Nurmukhambet Abdibekov himself was appointed as the new Akim of Karaganda Oblast on June 20. He replaced Meiram Smagulov who resigned voluntarily.
