New governor of North Kazakhstan Oblast appointed

Yerik Sultanov has been appointed the new Akim (Governor) of North Kazakhstan Oblast, Tengrinews reports. He replaced Samat Yeskendirov in the position.

Yerik Sultanov has been appointed the new Akim (Governor) of North Kazakhstan Oblast, Tengrinews reports. He replaced Samat Yeskendirov in the position.

Yerik Sultanov was born in 1956 in North Kazakhstan Oblast. During his career, he served as Chairman of the Motor Roads Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communications from 2002 to 2004,  Chairman of the Board of KazAvtoZhol national company, First Deputy Akim (Mayor) of Astana city from 2007 to 2008, Vice-President of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy national railway company from 2008 to 2014.
